When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on

Abraham Lincoln

The word tenacious comes from the noun tenacity which means the holding to a point of view or issue or activity firmly, persistently, stubbornly and boldly. A tenacious person will be tough in his will. He will hold on to his point of view and what he believes to be true. He will not be moved by what others say. Once he is convinced, he will not give up.

You are surrounded by people who may not share your point of view who may not agree with you. They will have their own reasons for their view in as much as you have your reasons for yours.

Tenacity is a good trait to be developed. Especially in pursuing our ambitions and goals in life, we have to be tenacious. We may not have ideals conditions and cooperative people. We may not have all the resources. We may not have the knowledge and skill to pursue our course of action. In such situations we have to be tenacious.

In order to be tenacious, we have be committed and be willing to sacrifice. We may have to be willing to suffer temporary setbacks and failures. A tenacious person will take such failures as challenges and bounce back.

I am sure you have come across people who have this enviable trait. List their names, meet them and try to model them.

However, here is a caution: tenacity without facts and necessary resources and efforts will put you in a problem!
