"The purpose of life is to develop loving relationships, and to become a totally loving person."
-- Brian Tracy
You can get anything in life, but not affection and love of people who are near and dear to us. There was a time when people loved people and used things to love people. For example I love my friend and use a birthday gift to express my love and show I much I care for him. If a person is sick, we buy a health drink or fruits and give it to him and pray that he recovers fast. If a person we love is need of money, we use our money to help him and express our love to him.
But over a period of time, we have become very materialistic and started loving things and using people! If we love money, we use people to get money; if we love power and authority, we look around to see whom we can use to get what we want; if we love our business, we start exploring whom we can use to expand our business.
What we want is unconditional love. Love is not confined the relationship between a boy and a girl resulting in a marriage which many teenagers may interpret. Love is an universal concept. We love our parents, our elders, our customers, our neighbors, our teachers, our children, our friends etc. Love need not be reciprocated. If we expect reciprocation, we may become disappointed. We love people for the only reason that we love them! That's all!
