We need a lot of skills to succeed in this competitive environment. But the most important and critical skill is to resist temptations. You will agree with me that today everything is a challenge and we have to struggle to reach our goals in life. It is more so if our goals are huge and outrageous. Such goals call for a high quality focus and concentration. Today we witness a peculiar situation that the opportunities and distractions compete with each other. Some twenty years ago, we did not have so many distractions such as the media, internet, cell phones, entertainments, holiday resorts, etc. we were able to focus on our goals at hand. But today it is quite a challenge to remain focused.
Our life style has changed and we have all the comforts. We also have money to buy those comforts and enjoy. The net result is the fact that we can succumb to the temptations of life. We really get parked and start relaxing. Just like an automobile, parking delays the flow of life. Time is a limited resource and the whole life is a race against time. If we miss an opportunity, we will not get it again.
