[Time-Management] 100 Thoughts for Self Improvement

13th December 2012

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow”

Mary Anne Radmacher

Great things in life start with a very humble beginning. Someone somewhere can get an idea or an inspiration. But it takes years of hard work and effort to convert the idea into some product or services.

When Masaru Ibuka founded the Sony Corporation, he did not have the present line of products in his mind. He and his initial seven employees sat and brain stormed what product to make. Many products were discussed including sweetened bean paste soup to miniature golf equipments and even slide rules! After a long discussion, they came out with their first product which was a rice cooker. But it failed to work properly. Sony’s first significant product was a tape recorder. But there was none to buy the product! Sony tried to meet the expenses of running the company by stitching wires on cloth to be used as heating pads!

But these initial setbacks never took away the enthusiasm from Masaru Ibuka. He was determined to succeed and he believed in his ability to offer something of value to his customer.

The only thing you need to succeed in life is an idea and your conviction and courage that your idea will work. This, combined with self confidence, will take you to your dream world!
