Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites youâ
Oprah Winfrey
Have you gone through the experience of having to do a work all over again? For example, you type a word document after going through various references and motes, but before you save the document there is a power cut and you have to do the work all over! Isnât it a very frustrating experience? At least I have gone through this experience several times.
In such a context, how you take the experience is very important. Even if you have to do the work several times again and again, you should not lose your patience. The one factor which will give you this mindset is passion. If you have passion you will not get irritated and your enthusiasm will remain the same.
Here is an interesting incident.
Thomas Carlyle wrote the first volume of The French Revolution running to hundreds of pages at a time when there was no typewriter or computer. He had to write all the pages by hand. He then gave the manuscript to a friend for reading whose servant carelessly used the pages to kindle a fire and the entire work was lost!
Thomas Carlyle calmly went back to his desk and rewrote all the pages once again!
