[Time-Management] And here's the balance for the year!

27th December 2012

Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.

Ralph Marston

One frequent question that you ask yourself will change your destiny! That question is: what am I doing now and am I at my best? You keep asking this question throughput the day while you are doing whatever you are doing.

If you are writing a simple letter, ask this question. If you are sending an email, ask this question. If you are delivering a talk, ask this question. If you are preparing a speech, ask this question. This question will not only make you to be conscious about what you are doing, but also consider the quality of the work you are doing. This is what an ace tennis player will ask himself after every service and after every shot. This is the question a world class violinist will ask himself after every bowing. This is the question Sachin Tendulkar will ask himself after playing every ball.

Quality and excellence is a state of mind. One has to be in search of excellence always and this comes only from a strong internal drive. Once our mind is in search of the gap between how we are doing and how well we can do, then the mind will give us the strategy and action plan.

For the next thirty days have this frame of mind and see what happens to the quality of your work!
