A winning horse doesn't know what is WIN. It only runs in pain given by its rider. So, whenever you are in pain, think that God wants you to win!
I don't know whose quotation is this. All that I know is my good friend Mohan who works for Hyundai keeps sending me quotations everyday and some of the quotations are really thought provoking as the one above!
The path to success is painful and if we are not willing to endure the pain, we cannot succeed. In fact, I would like to go one step further. Not only we should endure pain, but enjoy the same. This is what the sports people do. You would have watched the recent world food ball match or the Wimbledon match. If you have not go to the Youtube and watch the clippings. Notice every frame of the match and try to understand the body pain these people undergo as a result of the physical exertion. Do you think that they will endure the pain if they don't enjoy the same?
Have you stood in the queue for hours together to get an application for admission into LKG for your child? Haven't you enjoyed the process? Haven't you waited outside the intensive care unit of a hospital when your dear and near one was fighting for life and did you not enjoy the same?
The only factor which kept you going on such occasion is the hope that one day you will succeed.
The only difference between a horse and a human being is the fact that a horse can only run and cannot enjoy the pain, but we can!
So enjoy the pain!
