[Time-Management] 100 More Exciting Ways to Live!

3rd May 2012

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.
John Wooden

I have come across very talented people, coming up very fast, but losing everything and ending up very miserably. Talent will certainly get you success. But if success gets into your head, you will lose everything. There is a Sanskrit proverb `Vidya dhdhaadhi vinayam'. It means education should give you humility. And humility will give you good positions in life. Good positions will give you wealth and you will enjoy such a wealth! If you are not humble, all the success you achieve will burst like a soap bubble.

We are born with God given talents with which we achieve fame and glory. Others recognize our talent; else we will not get name and fame. So, God has done His part, others have done their part. It is up to us sustain our name and fame by remaining humble. If we become conceited, then we will  lose everything and like a soap bubble our name and fame will disappear!

One way not to lose our head is to bench mark our achievement with something which we will find very difficult to achieve, like climbing the Mount Everest. We will fail couple of times while pursuing such goals. But such failures will humble us!

I have a real time experience from a popular film star which I want to tell you. Wait…
