You are driven by the size of your goal and vision. An automobile is as powerful as its engine. A building is as strong as its foundation. A metal shines as bright as it is polished. In the same way, we are motivated by our thoughts. The higher our thoughts, the greater will be our enthusiasm and energy.
The way we define our goal in our mind will trigger a positive thought process which will be emotionally compelling. It will be an interesting idea to know the mission and vision statements of world class organisations. For example:
Amazon: Every book ever printed, in any language, all available in less than 60 seconds!
Disney: To build Disneyland- and build it to our image, not industry standards. To be the best company in the world for all fields of family entertainment.
Microsoft: A computer on every desk and in every home!
Sony: Change the worldwide image of Japanese products as poor quality.
Twitter: To become the pulse of the planet!
I was really touched by the nationalistic spirit of the Sony mission statement. This was the image of Japan when the company was formed.
If you want to be bubbling with enthusiasm, redefine your goal to make it emotionally compelling. Go beyond money and compensation package and let your thoughts soar high!
