Image: Hurting othersâ feelings
âTake the trouble to stop and think of the other personâs feelings, his viewpoints, his desires and needs. Think more of what the other fellow wants, and how he must feel.â
Maxwell Maltz
The quality of your interpersonal rapport is an important trait which will affect your image and personality. This depends on how you treat and move with people. One important aspect in dealing with people is the quality of your communication. The power of communication makes human beings unique.
While dealing with others, you will come across people who may not share your values and priorities in life. You will come across people who may have a diametrically opposite view on some key issues. You may still have to deal with them. You may have to carry on with them despite all these differences.
Others may irritate you. Still you have to put up with them.
These are the occasions when you may hurt the feelings of others. You may not know, but you may be emotionally hurting others. External injuries may be cured with medicines, but not emotional injuries. May be your voice is authoritative and forceful. You may not intentionally insult someone, but the way you present your view point may hurt othersâ feelings.
Get sensitive on this important aspect of your personality. Perhaps you can check with your close friends and evaluate your image!
