Image: How do you respond when something free is offered!
It is every manâs obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it.
Albert Einstein
There are occasions in our life when people give us a gift. It could be a pen, a diary or even a flower bouquet. Or there is an announcement that someone is giving something free. How we respond and react in such occasions is also an interesting aspect of our personality.
Reciprocating a gift received is very important. There is a saying that there is no such thing as free gift. Though something is given free, there is always an expectation of reciprocation, whether expressed or not. We have to be sensitive enough to understand and appreciate the same.
A gift is a gift regardless of its monetary or commercial value. There are some people who evaluate and respect people based on the value of the gift given! They may not know, but others are intelligent enough to notice the same!
A gift is intended to be given without expecting anything in return. If this condition is not fulfilled, it amounts to bribing! There was a time when people loved people and used things to love people; but we live at a time when people love things and use people to love things!
Next time when you give or receive some gift, keep the above in your mind.
