`For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned'.
Anonymous
I type this page from my daughter's house in San Antonio, United States. She got married a couple of months back and moved in here. Like any typical parent we brought a lot of things from India, provisions, vessels, sweets etc. and my daughter was not in favour of bringing anything from India.
This morning we applied our mind and arranged the kitchen trying to accommodate all that we brought into the small kitchen. Initially the task appeared to be overwhelming. After rearranging and throwing out unnecessary things, we not only accommodated everything, but also found some extra space!
I realized that it is not the size of the kitchen, but the way things are arranged that makes a complete kitchen. This principle is equally applicable to our time also. It is not the size of the day, but the way we are organized which makes our day complete!
Many of us complain that we have no time, while the truth is that we are disorganized and don't use our available time intelligently and we can `find' lot of time which is occupied by unnecessary activities.
Parkinson's Law says that work will expand to occupy all the available time. Today I realized that it is true in a kitchen also!
