Children already have all the resources they need.
Somewhere I read that the founder of Nike believed that everyone who walks this planet is an athlete. I was listening to Robin Sharma, one of the world's best motivation speakers. He says if you breathe oxygen, you are a leader! In the same line of thinking, I tell every parent in my Parents' Education parent that every child is a special child and a gift of God. Every child is born with some intelligence and the only role of the parent is to discover the hidden potential.
As I mentioned elsewhere, every child is identical with reference to the brain content and its function. As long as the brain is not damaged, its function is identical across the human race.
It has been my experience, and I'm sure, many will agree, that if a child is weak in one area, he is very strong in some other area. Talk to the child who claims that he has very poor memory and notice how many cricketers' name he remembers very accurately! Notice the child with least concentration in the classroom, and observe his concentration in his favourite sports. The most short tempered boy will have some very close friends with whom he will never lose his temper. The dullest boy in the class will be very active in the sports ground.
This NLP presupposition gives a basic confidence that every child can come up in life, no matter what handicap he may have.
