"You perform at your best when you are working continually on high-priority goals
and objectives."
-Brian Tracy
There is a close connection between what you want to achieve and your effort level. If your goal is very ordinary, your mind will recognize this and will propel you into ordinary action. It's simple common sense. I am sure that whenever you were planning for a long distance tour, you took more effort and time to pack. Especially when you travel abroad, you are even more careful than when you are travelling inside the country!
Just imagine that a VVIP is visiting your house. Would you not pay more attention to how you want to present yourself? Whenever you are attending a very important meeting, you will prepare well.
This principle applies to goal setting also. Whenever your mind assigns a high priority to your goal, you will be performing at your best. You will not feel tired. You will tap into your optimum energy level. You will be consistent. You will be careful and have an eye for details. You will not feel irritated. You will be willing to do any sacrifice and suffer.
Your mental preparation before you embark on any goal is very important. You need to ask some very important questions to yourself such as:
· How important is this goal for me?
· What will be my quality of life when I reach this goal?
· What will I be missing if I don't reach this goal?
· What and who else is involved in this goal?
Once you honestly ask and answer these questions, the rest is automatic.
Try this simple exercise and notice your mind power!
